Gallery Wrapped Copper Art

I have been developing several new methods of exhibiting my paintings this summer. The 16 oz. copper sheet that I use for most of my work can be difficult to hang without framing due to its weight. For a more modern look I have developed a way to gallery wrap a lighter weight copper over a board allowing the work to be displayed without framing. The patina painting can carry over the wrapped edge or the edges can be burnished bright. The lighter weight copper comes in smaller measurements so to cover a larger area the copper is laid in sections. This gives the surface a built up and textured appearance.

Here is an example of a gallery wrapped patina painting.
